My love for Symphonic Metal was entirely accidental with my discovery of Within Temptation many years ago. My later discovery of Nightwish, Epica, and Kamelot pretty much sealed the deal.

I am a believer that seeing and hearing is believing, so I've provided a few links to gems from Within Temptation. The links were good when this blog entry was first created, but I know how things can change on the Internet so I have provided the names of the albums the songs were from.  My apologies in advance if you end up having to Google the songs later on down the line or end up having to sample them on iTunes or Amazon.
